My daughter Sofia is 9 months. She smiles and laughs, makes eye contact, responds to her name about 70% of the time. But she rarely follows my point or initiates pointing herself. I know I’m an SLP so I may be hyperaware, but joint attention feels inconsistent. Deborah or anyone — thoughts? What are the red flags vs. normal variation at this age?
